Silver Oak's inventory of PTO-supplied Chromebooks has been made available for check-out to Silver Oak students in need of their own dedicated device for distance learning. It is a brave new virtual world for remote classroom learning, and we are so proud of our school's effort to bridge the gap between in-person and online teacher-student connection. PTO is thankful for the past and present parent support that has made it possible to have Chromebooks to loan. We will get through this together!

In the new world of distance learning and virtual social outreach, PTO is working toward solutions to offer our programs and events online where possible. Governor Newsom and State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tony Thurmond have announced that school campuses in California will not reopen this school year. To be clear, the 2019-2020 school year has not ended. The remainder of the school year now transitions from in-person classroom instruction to instruction and support for students through distance learning options as described by California Department of Education (CDE).
