Wrestling Coed

A student information meeting will be held before registration opens. Students interested in trying out for Chaboya's coed wrestling team are encouraged to attend to learn about practice expectations and season details. The date and time of this meeting will be made during student announcements.. 

Registration opens after the  student information meeting. 

• Athletes will meet at 3:30 p.m. in the gym.
• You must have registered online and have a signed parent permission slip and concussion information slip completed during your online registration to attend this tryout. These forms can be found online on the Athletics Overview page.
• This is a coed team.
• This is a no cut sport.
• Tryout Location: Chaboya Gym
• Equipment: Come dressed in your PE clothes ready to tryout.
• Instructions: All athletes must have tennis shoes, shorts, and shirt for each practice. All athletes are recommended to wear wrestling or basketball shoes for practices.

• Regular practice will be held from 3:30-5 p.m. Monday - Thursday.
• Tuesdays/Thursdays will be conditioning. Coach will share location with athletes.
• Wrestlers will be separated by weight for both practice and matches.
• Small cohorts of wrestlers will be grouped together for all practices.

• You must maintain a 2.0+ GPA to compete in meets, with no Fs, or N/U citizenship grades.
• Grades will be checked in October. Students who do not meet grade level expectations will be removed from the team.
