Reading is the best way a child can stay on top of learning all summer long. Encourage your child to read books, magazines, newspapers, comic books, recipes, labels, cereal boxes, street signs, etc. In other words, encourage him/her to read everything in his/her world. Anything in print is fair game as long as it is developmentally and age-appropriate. We learn best by daily practice and reinforcement of our skills. A summer of pure T.V. and/or video games is not a healthy diet for learning. Instead, get your hands on some books or games. Visit our public libraries or used book stores. You may also borrow and lend books to and from friends, which is another fun way to access books.

As we reach mid way of the school year it is critical that emergency cards be updated with current information. The staff uses these cards to contact parents in the event of an emergency. Moreover, students will only be released to the people listed on the emergency card. If your phone number or addresses changes, please notify the office immediately. If you have already registered with "Parent portal" and have updated your contact information we thank you. We encourage all parents to register on Parent portal at www.eesd.org or on our school web page and click on parent portal.
